Featuring Leonard Wonnenberg, PA-C, Clinical Director

Mr. Wonnenberg graduated from the University of South Dakota in 2010 with a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. He has been employed with Horizon for the past five years, serving the Huron area in Family Practice. In addition to seeing patients, Mr. Wonnenberg was appointed Clinical Director in January 2016. He has assisted in implementing and incorporating the Patient Centered Medical Home model at James Valley Community Health Center. He also works to promote quality improvement with Horizon throughout the organization and South Dakota.

He is an American Cancer Society Champion Speaker on Colorectal Cancer Screening. He has done several Webinars, presentations, training sessions, and a CRC Echo presentation on CRC screening.
