Public Health Improvement Plan
MPCA's Mary Beth (mbfrideres@mtpca.org) has been appointed by the director of DPHHS to the Public Health Improvement Task Force, representing Community and Migrant Health Center and Rural Health Clinic issues and overall access to health care within Montana's public health system.

The Public Health Improvement Task Force will:

• Assure the implementation of the Strategic Plan for Public Health Improvement;
• Provide recommendations to state and local agencies regarding public health improvement issues;
• Evaluate Montana's progress in implementing the Strategic Plan for Public Health Improvement and other public health improvement efforts; and
• Advocate for public health system improvement efforts.
  

DPHHS is creating an Office of Public Health Improvement within the Health Systems Bureau. The purpose of the new office will be to facilitate coordination of public health programs consistent with the Strategic Plan for Public Health Improvement and to provide a department-wide focus and long-term planning for improvement of the public health system infrastructure.
