Stacey Anderson is the Communication and Public Affairs Manager for the Montana Primary Care Association. Stacey develops and implements MPCA’s internal and external communication programs, acts as one of the organization’s spokespeople, develops relationships with the organization’s members and varied stakeholders, and advises the organization on its official actions with regard to administrative and legislative policy. Stacey has a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Montana and earned her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Pennsylvania.

Paula provides training, technical assistance and coaching to primary care practices in quality improvement and risk management.  Paula is a National Committee for Quality Assurance Certified Content Expert in Patient Centered Medical Home Standards.  Paula helps health centers transform their practices to become Patient Centered Medical Homes, and can assist with the process of receiving Joint Commission accreditation, as well. Paula has over 40 years of community health center, public health, and clinical nursing experience.

Jaclyn manages the planning and implementation of a central data repository and analytics tools to support regulatory, clinical quality improvement, and payment reform data requirements for community health centers participating in the health center controlled network.  She is also responsible for strategically assessing, developing and implementing actions to align health centers with key payers in both fee-for-service and risk-based environments.  Prior to joining the MPCA, Jaclyn worked for a health technology company implementing national quality improvement registries in partnership with medical specialty societies.  Jaclyn has a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Health Management from the Yale School of Public Health.

Barb is responsible for managing the finances of MPCA and keeping the organization in compliance with funding requirements and accounting principles.  She manages the organization’s budget by overseeing grants, tracking expenditures, and establishing and maintaining internal controls.  Barb prepares financial statements and reports for the Board.  She also processes MPCA dues, payments, expenses, receivables and employee compensation.  Barb ensures MPCA adheres to the highest standards of financial integrity.

Olivia joined the MPCA in 2013 to organize and lead MPCA’s statewide outreach and enrollment activities.  Olivia is the Special Populations Coordinator. Prior to joining MPCA, Olivia was co-director of Montana Women Vote, overseeing and planning its civic engagement field campaigns, voter registration efforts, and issues education campaigns.  Her work also included policy issues that impact low-income women and families in Montana. Olivia has a B.A. in Grassroots Development from the University of Michigan.

Over ten years of community health center experience in leadership, risk management, program development, project management, and reporting. Leslie earned her B.S. in Community Health from Montana State University.

Courtney Buys spent a year serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA at the Montana Primary Care Association working on the Cover Montana project; increasing awareness, understanding, and utilization of Montana’s affordable health insurance options for low-income Montanans. Upon finishing her term of service in July of 2016, Courtney started a new adventure at the Montana Primary Care Association as Public Health Project Manager; working on quality improvement measures to increase preventable disease screening in Montana’s Community Health Centers.

Emily Samhammer is the Events and Training Coordinator for the Montana Primary Care Association. She makes sure MPCA’s educational opportunities go smoothly. Emily previously worked for the Commissioner of Securities of Insurance coordinating consumer education efforts. She grew up in Missoula, MT and graduated from Carroll College with BAs in Communications and Political Science.

Nat is the Montana Primary Care Association’s 2018-19 AmeriCorps VISTA. The focus of their assignment is evaluating and expanding the Cover Montana project and continuing to increase awareness of the health insurance options available to Montanans. Prior to serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA, Nat did work around communications, sexual health, and LGBTQ+ issues. Nat has B.A. in Gender and Sexuality Studies from New York University.
