CE AVAILABLE:
ASAM Certification/Waiver and CME available. You must complete additional online training for the waiver and CME. This waiver is only available to prescribing providers.

Montana Board of Social Work: 7 CE Approved

Nurses: This continuing nursing education activity was approved by Montana Nurses Association, an accredited approver with distinction by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Two options: In-person training- 7.5 contact hours or In-person training plus on ASAM on-line course- 11.25 contact hours

REGISTRATION:
There is a two‐step registration process for this training for individuals who want to receive CME and the ASAM Certification/Waiver. Individuals who do not want the waiver or CME credits only need to register at MPCA for the in-person training.
1. Register at MPCA for the in-person training.
2. Register at the PCSS MAT Training site to start your training modules. Individuals who do not want the waiver or CME credits only need to register at MPCA for the in-person training.

CERTIFICATION/WAIVER DETAILS:
Buprenorphine waiver training is available for providers interested in seeking their waiver to prescribe buprenorphine in office‐based treatment of opioid use disorders. To obtain the waiver to prescribe, physicians are required to take eight hours of training and NPs/PAs are required to take 24 hours of training.

Following trainings, providers who have successfully completed the course, may apply to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to obtain the waiver. PCSS‐MAT urges all providers who complete the course to submit a Notice of Intent Form to SAMHSA to obtain your waiver to prescribe. The waiver must be completed online and a link to the online form will be provided to participants following the training.

The course is split into an online portion and an in‐person portion. Attendees are expected to complete the online portion of the course before attending the in‐person training.

SCHOLARSHIPS:
The Montana Healthcare Foundation is sponsoring scholarships for this training. Scholarships are available for mileage or hotel reimbursement.
